Not often you’ll read headlines on this blog containing the spammy magical word “secrets”. Mostly because I’m sickened and contemptuous of such headlines and because I either don’t know of any “secrets” or if I did I’m lousy at keeping them anyway!

So here’s the “secret” to “Blogging With Right Your Right Hand In Plaster For The Micro ISV!”………

“Use Your Left Hand, Dopey!”

Though I’ll confess it’s not a lot of fun when you are used to typing with both hands and all fingers. Your QWERTY keyboard becomes a QWERT – strettttch – Y very quickly – and typographical errors manifest like the files contained in \Windows\System32\.

Even bad humour becomes more unusually difficult to type.

OK. Enough with moaning and groaning here. In short last week they tossed the RecursiveISV onto a hospital stretcher, gave him a dose of “shut up already” in the left wrist (a solution many have searched for over many years) and cut a hole in my right hand, disregarding the apparent presence of actual veins and proving once and for all that blood and not ice flows through them – or used to in recent geological history.

While gathering this empirical evidence they also removed a skin cancer and avoided removing my fingers though I’m sure it was tempting, wrapped it up tighter than an obfuscated, polymorphic object, right after they used a cheese grater to take a slice of skin to whack on my right hand, sticking it down with Superglue (no, I’m serious here) to cover up the hole.

Man, if we could only cover up bugs in software the way these guys cover up stuff! Memory leak? “Hang on Jack, I’’ll fetch the Superglue!”

All in all they did a pretty good job up until the point I woke up during surgery, which was the point where they were using the cheese grater on my thigh sadly. I don’t recommend this sight, especially when they are cracking jokes at the same time. Bad jokes about legs missing I hasten to add!

All is not lost, however, as I’ve not had to wash the dishes since last Wednesday night!!

Haven’t been completely slack though. Across on the MixAction website blog I posted an article offering theater audio visitors an insight into my thinking. Partly a response to some nonsense being used as fertilzer by a certain competitor and partly as an explanation as to why the product has been designed the way it is. Arguably a no-no on a product website, but then it does have SEO intent too…

You can read that article by Clicking Here.

OK, something meatier on this blog in the next post.

In the meantime, boys and girls, when venturing into the Australian Sun use SPF 73+ sun screen, wear a hat (preferably with corks dangling from it) and a chain mail suit – then you can avoid ever needing to know about “blogging with your right hand in plaster”. OK?
